TRANSLATION

"If I am selling to you, I speak your language. If I am buying, dann müssen sie Deutsch sprechen."
Willy Brandt

As the quote states, to be successfully able to sell a product on a particular foreign market, it requires to be interpreted in a “local language”. That’s when I come into play!

I am specialized mostly in IT, business and marketing related content, but I also have a significant experience with HR, financial and telecommunications subjects. My freelancer career brings different opportunities; I have seen and worked on a wide range of texts from companies all over the world.

A code of conduct, e-learning materials, management presentation, newsletter, corporate communication, employee survey, safety procedures, personal development plans, software applications, mobile phone apps, hardware manuals, software documentation, user interface, ERP, game, online gambling content, website, terms & conditions, EULA, general contract, press releases, home appliance user guide, promotional leaflets, advertisement texts, marketing campaign materials… Do you want to translate anything of the above or something similar? If so, you have hit the bull’s eye, I am the right person for you!

I can handle most common CAT (computer aided translation) tools, such as SDL Trados Studio, SDLX, memoQ, MemSource or Wordfast. I do process the translation text using these applications. These tools have wonderful features of great benefit – for instance, they store the translated content in a form of translated units (called segments) in a translation memory, thus saving the translator from the necessity to work on a repetitive text again. Moreover, they help to ensure consistency by keeping an eye on small trifles that the human eye might miss, such as incoherent numbers, incorrect spacing, spelling mistakes, etc.
